We are seeking an experienced Technical Design Manager to lead the development of the best fitting, premium apparel across our Men's and Women's lines. This role owns the fit process from concept through final approval, translating design vision into precise, performance-driven garments. The ideal candidate brings expert-level fit knowledge, a passion for product innovation, and an uncompromising eye for detail.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead technical design and development for both Men's and Women's apparel

Own the fit process from initial block creation through final approval-ensuring consistent, premium fit across the line

Translate design intent into precise technical packages, including detailed construction methods and specifications

Partner closely with Design, Product Development, and Factories to create innovative constructions and engineer performance-driven garments

Initiate and develop entirely new product concepts, exploring breakthrough fit, function, and fabrication solutions

Own fit sessions, evaluate prototypes, and proactively identify and resolve technical issues to achieve aesthetic and performance goals

Create and manage graded specs, fitting instructions and construction comments using Backbone PLM system

Collaborate with pattern makers at vendors to ensure efficient and accurate representations of fit and design

Maintain a solution oriented mindset to ensure we hit our development timelines

QUALIFICATIONS:

8+ years of apparel technical design. Must have experience in both Men's and Women's.

Prior experience in activewear strongly preferred.

In-depth knowledge of construction, fit and fabrication.

Passion for premium, functional product and the desire to forge a path as a market leader in new product concepts.

Ability to create new product concepts from scratch, with an emphasis on concepts and constructions that have never been created before

Exceptional attention to product details.

Pattern making experience is appreciated

Deep understanding of woven and knit garment design and construction.

Extreme Ownership mentality

Able to work independently within company and team guidelines

$90,000 - $100,000 a year
