Responsibilities

  • Support the CISA Joint Cyber Defense Collaborative (JCDC) by documenting and standardizing procedures and templates.
  • Identify and document existing processes and processes needed for cyber incident analysis.
  • Establish and monitor integration of new processes and SOPs into existing operations.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships for customer service and project support.
  • Demonstrate initiative by proactively identifying and communicating needs.
  • Receive general supervision, applying seasoned judgment autonomously as appropriate.

This is a hybrid position requiring staff to be in-person at the DHS CISA client site in Arlington, VA as needed. Applicants must be able to work on-site in the Washington D.C. metro area without advanced notice.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience performing as a technical writer, translating complex information into clear, understandable content for a specific audience.
  • Experience researching products and collaborating with subject‑matter experts to write, edit, and update technical materials.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills, especially using digital media.
  • Problem‑solving abilities and the ability to work in a dynamic, team‑oriented environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience or a Master’s degree and 1 year of experience.
  • Top Secret security clearance and eligibility to receive agency suitability.
  • Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience providing program and/or project management support to government programs, especially in cybersecurity.
  • Experience facilitating elicitation and resolution of customer requirements/needs, including helping to identify capability gaps and develop solutions.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing presentations, reports, project schedules, and standard operating procedures.
