UX Designer (Freelance) Job at Robert Half in Washington DC

Robert Half’s enterprise client is seeking a passionate UX Designer who excels at crafting intuitive, user-centered designs across mobile and desktop platforms. This will be a 6-month contract with a high likelihood of extending and possibility of converting to full-time employment. You’ll simplify complex workflows, advocate for customer needs, and deliver elegant solutions that align with our broader product ecosystem. Responsibilities: Conduct usability studies and gather customer insights Design streamlined experiences for both customer-facing and internal systems Translate complex user flows into simple, effective designs Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technical feasibility and business alignment Champion user needs throughout the design process What You Bring: ~5+ years of UX or interaction design experience ~ Proven success delivering large-scale, end-to-end UX design solutions ~ Strong portfolio showcasing user-centered designs across platforms ~ Experience working with stakeholders on strategic initiatives ~ Strong Visual Design ability Bonus Skills: User research and journey mapping Designing for retail or complex technical products Familiarity with usability principles and agile environments Experience maintaining design systems and UX standards Experience with internal tools and B2B
