This individual will create and deliver engaging vocal music experiences that support student development, creativity, and joy of learning. Instruction occurs one hour per week, divided into two 30-minute sessions, with flexibility in scheduling to accommodate the specialist’s availability. Design and deliver the music lesson plans for each class, incorporating age-appropriate activities such as singing, rhythm patterns, movement, and musical play. Model enthusiasm for music and foster a positive, encouraging environment for young learners. Support classroom management and student engagement during each session. Prepare simple materials or activities needed for weekly instruction. Communicate any concerns or observations to the classroom teacher or school administrator. Attend brief coordination meetings (virtual or in-person) when necessary. Perform other related duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities There are no supervisory responsibilities with this position. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
