About the Team The Marketing and Business Development organization drives QuantumScape’s growth by defining our market strategy, shaping customer engagement, and bringing cutting‑edge solid‑state battery technology to global partners. We are a cross‑functional team of strategists, application engineers, and marketers who thrive at the intersection of technology and market transformation.

What We Need QuantumScape is seeking a Manager of Product Marketing to support the development and launch of our technology licensing and transfer business model for advanced solid‑state battery technology, while also actively supporting business development operations and engagements with automotive OEM customers.

This role will focus on defining our product offering, creating marketing assets and technical collateral, and driving customer‑facing engagements that shape QuantumScape’s commercial roadmap. You’ll work closely with engineering, product, and business development teams to align technical capabilities with market needs and customer priorities.

What You’ll Do

Contribute to defining QuantumScape’s product offering for technology licensing and transfer customers, including automotive OEMs and manufacturing partners

Develop and maintain product positioning, messaging, and collateral that communicate QuantumScape’s value proposition

Support business development and partner engagement activities with materials, presentations, and data‑driven insights

Collaborate with engineering and R&D teams to translate technical features into customer‑ready benefits and marketing content

Assist in defining and optimizing commercial frameworks, pricing models, and go‑to‑market plans

Manage cross‑functional alignment across marketing, product, and business development to ensure consistent communication and strategy execution

Support customer meetings, conferences, and events with tailored content and follow‑up materials

Conduct competitive analysis and track industry trends to inform QuantumScape’s market strategy

Skills You’ll Need

5‑7 years of experience in product marketing, product management, or business development in advanced technology or energy sectors

Experience supporting technology licensing, transfer, or commercialization programs in a B2B environment

Strong technical understanding of battery technology, electrochemistry, or advanced manufacturing processes

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with ability to convey technical information to business audiences

Proven ability to collaborate across technical and commercial teams in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field required; advanced degree or MBA preferred

Nice to Have

Experience working directly with automotive OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers

Familiarity with technology transfer processes and intellectual property frameworks

Background in advanced materials, energy storage, or related clean technology industries

Compensation & Benefits The expected salary range for this role is $102,700 to $156,700 depending on experience and education. QuantumScape also offers an annual bonus, a competitive equity package, and a comprehensive benefits plan, including fully paid health care, Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP), and other benefits.
