Overview An IRL events–focused social app is hiring its first marketing and growth lead. You’ll be responsible for driving user demand, increasing attendance at local events, and shaping the brand identity for a fast-moving, early‑stage team. This role is highly creative and execution‑driven, with a strong emphasis on content and community growth.
Role Mission Build and scale user engagement by driving attendance to real-world events through effective content, social growth, and acquisition systems.
What You’ll Do
Lead all user acquisition and demand‑generation initiatives
Create and publish high-volume, high-quality content (especially short‑form video)
Run rapid social and growth experiments — double down on what works
Support city‑launch strategies and collaborate with GTM team members
Develop the brand’s tone, look, and identity through consistent execution
First 90 Days
Produce 50+ pieces of original content
Demonstrate measurable impact on event attendance and engagement
Help build the core marketing playbook for future hires
About You
High-agency, creative, and proactive
Strong understanding of social media frameworks and growth mechanics
Able to show a large portfolio of videos you’ve created and edited
Skilled in editing, design, and content production under tight timelines
Experienced in building community or awareness for a product
Thrive in fast-moving startup environments
