Join a dynamic project as a 2D Animator for a long-term animated cartoon series spanning 40–50 episodes, each 3–8 minutes in length. This role is ideal for animators passionate about storytelling and character-driven animation, with the opportunity for ongoing collaboration beyond the first season. You will work with a comprehensive set of provided assets, including characters, props, backgrounds, storyboards, scripts, dialogues, and reference materials, ensuring a streamlined workflow. The focus is on delivering high-quality, expressive animation that aligns with a fixed visual style, maintaining consistency across episodes. Regular communication and openness to feedback are essential, as is the ability to meet weekly output targets of 1–2 episodes. This contract position offers a supportive environment and the potential for future projects.
Responsibilities
Animate 2D episodes using provided assets, storyboards, and scripts
Ensure smooth, expressive character movement and accurate lip-sync
Maintain consistency with the established style guide and visual references
Collaborate closely with the production team, incorporating feedback promptly
Deliver 1–2 completed episodes per week, adhering to project timelines
Communicate progress regularly and address any challenges proactively
Skills and Requirements
Proven experience in 2D animation, preferably for series or episodic content
Proficiency with industry-standard 2D animation software (e.g., Toon Boom, Adobe Animate, TVPaint)
Strong understanding of character animation, expressions, and timing
Ability to follow a fixed style and utilize pre-made assets effectively
Excellent communication skills in English
Reliable, consistent, and able to meet regular deadlines
Open to feedback and collaborative workflows
Availability for part-time, contract-based work with potential for ongoing engagement
