Job Summary The Audio Visual Service Technician will respond to service calls and troubleshoot and resolve A/V issues. The technician will also assist in compiling and recording service contract information and documentation. Between service calls, the technician will assist installation crews with project installation efforts.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Install and service commercial audio and video systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot A/V and electronic systems.
Communicate clearly and present professionally to clients.
Read blueprints and schematic drawings.
Use Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word.
Operate hand and power tools safely; own tools or use those supplied by Miller Electric.
Work in confined spaces, climb ladders, stand for extended periods, work extended hours, and travel independently.
Operate fleet vehicles with a valid driver’s license and an excellent driving record.
Lift 50 lbs and operate articulating boom lifts per OSHA standards.
Adaptability, leadership, and self‑starter traits; minimal supervision; teamwork.
Help manage installers or service helpers on projects.
Qualifications
Knowledge of signal flow for audio, video, control and network configurations.
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Pass a drug screening.
Clear driving record for at least 3 years.
Willingness to travel as necessary.
Minimum 10 years of commercial Audio/Visual experience.
Experience installing and configuring Extron, Crestron, QSC, Atlas Global COMM, and similar control systems.
High-level understanding of networks for AV systems, ability to configure DSPs and control systems.
Experience installing digital signage and Direct View LED video walls.
Follow schematic wiring diagrams and hook‑up procedures.
Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
Immediate onsite solution skills during construction.
High School diploma or GED plus: formal A/V training, military training, or equivalent.
Skills in installation tasks: soldering, cable dressing, cable tray, conduit, connectors.
Familiarity with Bluebeam, Visio, Draw.IO, and similar platforms.
CTS, Crestron DM, NVX, Qsys Level 1 & 2, Extron Control Professional, Atlas IED Global COMM, Biamp Tesira.
OSHA 30 certification (plus).
