Position Overview
Sigma, Inc. is seeking a
Communications Specialist
for a full-time, onsite contract role in Boston, MA. This position will support the
Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT)
by developing and implementing communication strategies that strengthen internal and external engagement.
Key Responsibilities Develop and execute
communication strategies
to ensure consistent messaging aligned with organizational goals. Manage
internal and external communications
across multiple platforms, including press releases, newsletters, social media, and official statements. Draft and edit
content, speeches, and presentations
for leadership and public events. Build and maintain
relationships with media outlets , stakeholders, and the general public. Support
public sector communications initiatives
with a focus on transparency and accessibility. Contribute to crisis communication planning and rapid response messaging when required. Qualifications
Strong written and verbal communication skills
with proven ability in public speaking and presentation. Experience in
media relations, content creation, and stakeholder engagement . Ability to
problem-solve, think creatively, and adapt
to fast-paced environments. Prior experience working within the
public sector or government communications
is highly desirable.
