# **Summary**This position will routinely create innovative, high-quality print and digital visual solutions for the marketing and communication needs of various clients that align with the brand standards and contribute to the team's creative excellence.# **Essential Functions**# **Requirements*** Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet specified deadlines.* Must have a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design.* Must be able to accept feedback and direction (that may vary from positive to negative), address revisions based on this feedback, and post for continuing approvals.* Must possess exceptional computer skills. Macintosh operating platform is a must. Thorough knowledge of software applications such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, scanning software, and any widely utilized word processing applications.* Must show a high level of creativity and creative curiosity in developing design concepts.* Must have mastery in layout and production design using design apps (Adobe Creative Cloud) and/or others.* Must have criteria for photo selection, retouching, and image archiving.* Must have knowledge of color theory and color relationships, typography terms and specifications, page composition and grid structure.**Scheduled Weekly Hours:**20Benefits: Barry University offers a comprehensive benefits package to full-time employees that includes health, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement, tuition assistance, paid time off and work/life balance initiatives such as wellness programs, spirituality in the workplace, and training and development.Barry University is an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to a diverse and inclusive work environment.* Works closely with Barry Ad Company and Barry Marketing staff in the development and maintenance of all elements for branding and marketing communications. The position develops both traditional (print, collateral materials, direct marketing, etc.) as well as digital (social, email, web, and mobile, etc.) communications, among others.* Assists with providing accurate time and cost estimates for printing, proofing, and delivery.* Manages projects. Works closely with marketing clients on deliverables.* Maintains strict adherence to deadlines, deliverable specs, client briefs and feedback.* Keeps up to date with software enhancements, design, and visual communication trends.* Organizes and maintains project files.* Serves as a mentor and a guide for student ad company staff.* Participates in the development of creative solutions to effectively communicate through a wide variety of creative tactics.* Works with lead Art Directors, and the account service team to manage workflow of all projects, which includes the interaction with the Communications team, outside agencies, copywriters, and freelancers.* Provide accurate time estimates for deliverables, as assigned.* Assists at photo/video shoots.* Meets established deadlines and posts work for approval on Box (or similar project management system).* Other duties as assigned or as proactively identified.Barry University is a private Catholic institution with a history of academic excellence.
