Job Overview:
- We are currently seeking a CAD Designer - Plastics/Foam/Structures.
- This position requires experienced professionals responsible for designing and developing seating components using Catia 3DX for a world-class vehicle in terms of both styling and function.
- Our ideal candidates exhibit a can-do attitude and approach their work with vigor and determination.
- Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, possess the ability to learn quickly, and strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.
- They will also act as mentors to more junior engineers.
- Be a significant contributor to a world-class seating team.
- Contribute to the packaging, engineering, release, and launch of seating components in the portfolio.
- Work with the DREs /Lead Engineers/ Broader stakeholders to assure CAD is updated per team agreements and adherent to industry standards and design guidelines.
- Employ and develop effective tools and an innovative approach to supporting the development.
- Must have been part of at least 2 full programs from start to finish.
- Previous knowledge of seating systems
- Experienced in using CAD to create 2D/3D concepts efficiently, also packaging layouts, and DFM studies, specifically with CATIA 3DX.
- The ideal candidate would be someone who has experience working in a cross-functional team involving multiple vehicle systems.
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to achieve success in a fast-paced startup environment.
- A strong desire to create the very best product, working as an integral part of a very capable team.
- A practical hands-on approach to complement the theoretical.
- Design experience operating with CATIA 3DX.
- Exceptional technical abilities paired with excellent communication skills (both written & verbal) to communicate effectively with the different vehicle systems.
- Bachelor's degree in science or in a relevant discipline.
