Department of Art is accredited by NASAD and has 47 full‑time faculty members, over 20 part‑time faculty members, and over 800 undergraduate majors. It offers the following degrees:
- BFAs in Art Education, Graphic Design, Photography with concentrations in Commercial and Fine Art, and Studio Art
- BA in Art & Visual Culture with concentrations in Art History, Art Management and Studio Art
- BS in Graphic Communications Management with concentrations in Cross Media Production and Print/Packaging Production
Travel opportunities include trips to university’s New York Loft and study abroad trips to China, Costa Rica, Cuba, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Scotland, Spain, and Taiwan.

Minimum Qualifications
- MFA in Graphic Design or related discipline or BFA in Graphic Design with extensive professional experience.
Essential Job Functions
The Department of Art seeks to hire multiple adjunct instructors for various courses in graphic design for Spring 2026 and the academic year 2026‑27. Instruction may be face‑to‑face or online, depending on need. Essential job functions include course preparation and delivery, grading, student engagement, and weekly office hours. Instructors are expected to submit materials for departmental and/or General Education assessment as requested by the department chair. Courses taught may include:
- ART 1102: Introduction to Graphic Design
- ART 2102: Typography I
- ART 3102: Typography II
- ART 3202: Interaction Design I
- ART 3302: Sign, Symbol, Image
- ART 4102: Typography III
- ART 3602: Special Topics in Graphic Design
Other courses depending on department need and instructor expertise are welcome.
Preferred Qualifications
- MFA in Graphic Design or related discipline
- Relevant teaching experience
- Experience teaching online asynchronous courses
