Base pay range

The hybrid position of AV Installation Tech Level 2-3 & Service Technician is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of audio‑visual (AV) systems and equipment across a variety of environments, including corporate offices, emergency operation centers, educational institutions, and event spaces. This role involves both fieldwork (installation and integration of new systems) and service/maintenance duties (repair and upkeep of existing systems), ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

• Install, configure, and test AV systems (projectors, displays, audio systems, video conferencing equipment, etc.)
• Troubleshoot and repair AV hardware and software issues
• Perform routine maintenance and system checks
• Provide on‑site and remote technical support
• Document installation and service activities
• Provide client training and AV product guidance
• Collaborate with internal teams on project execution and successful project completion
• Maintain equipment inventory and tools
• Communicate effectively with clients to offer technical solutions, and ensure satisfaction with completed work

• Proficiency in the installation, integration, and maintenance of AV systems, including hardware, software, and networking components
• Strong knowledge of AV technologies, including audio systems, video displays, microphones, projectors, and video conferencing equipment
• Experience with AV control and DSP systems (Crestron, AMX, Extron, Biamp, Q‑SYS, etc.)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills diagnosing AV system issues, both on‑site and remotely
• Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints
• Ability to work independently in the field and manage multiple tasks in fast‑paced environments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, teams, and vendors
• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to keep accurate service records
• Relevant certifications such as CTS are preferred
