Responsibilities Provide general assistance with all areas of library operation as needed. Perform circulation desk tasks and coverage. Other duties as assigned. Assist the agency or state government in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor. Special Assignments May be required to perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Master’s degree in library science and Virginia Professional Librarian Certification, or equivalent skills and work experience. Experience working in a library, providing information services to a diverse patronage. Experience teaching skills to others, demonstrated success working independently, with limited supervision. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail. Experience with Microsoft Office suite, Google applications, and library applications. Additional Considerations Bibliographic and information literacy instruction. Experience in higher education. Operation of a State Vehicle. No Supervises Employees. No Required Travel. Minimal.
