Scope of Job The Web Content Specialist Graduate Assistant is responsible for managing, updating, and publishing content on RCVCOBE web pages to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with university branding and accessibility standards. Duties include:

Reviewing pages regularly, adjusting layouts or media, and supporting the creation of new pages or improvements to site navigation.

Gathering information from faculty and staff, responding to update requests, and supporting the college’s digital communication needs.

Monitoring for outdated content or broken links, recommending usability improvements, and coordinating with IT, marketing, or communications personnel as needed.

Maintaining event pages, uploading documents, and posting announcements.

Maximum appointment is limited to twenty (20) hours per week (50% FTE); assistantships are semester‑based and subject to renewal each term.

Minimum Qualifications

Currently admitted to the Graduate School.

Be in good academic standing.

Be registered full‑time for the respective semester (nine semester credit hours during the fall and spring semesters, three semester credit hours during the summer session(s)), or in the required number of semester credit hours to fulfill the only remaining requirements on the degree plan.

Have foundational experience in web design and basic graphic design to support the visual presentation of web content.

Basic knowledge of web content management, including updating pages, publishing materials, and ensuring site accuracy and functionality.

Ability to apply university web standards and accessibility guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with web platforms such as WordPress, HTML, CSS, Drupal, or similar tools.

Familiarity with web design principles, accessibility standards, responsive layouts, and basic UX practices.

Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).

Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and administrative units.

Salary: $5,000.00 per semester. Number of Vacancies: 1. Desired Start Date: 01/16/2026. Open Date: 11/20/2025.
