We are seeking a talented individual to join our Health & Benefits team at Mercer. This role will be based in any Mercer office location and is a hybrid role requiring at least three days a week in the office.

Communications Consulting Specialist

who can drive powerful engagement strategies for employers.

Key Responsibilities

Craft and execute communications strategies that expand, penetrate, and retain client relationships by deeply understanding their needs and market trends.

Design and propose forward‑thinking engagement strategies that help clients increase employee participation and optimize benefit utilization.

Partner with communications, operations, and client teams to deliver actionable insights that elevate campaign performance.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in communications or a related field.

5+ years of proven success delivering communication strategy, preferably in a health‑related industry.

Exceptional project management skills and the ability to set direction, anticipate needs, and move projects forward.

Strong PowerPoint skills, including slide design and content development.

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels.

Preferred / Standing Out

Experience providing marketing or communications consultations to clients.

A track record of thriving in fast‑paced, matrixed environments juggling multiple priorities.

A growth mindset with strong problem‑solving skills, showing resilience and adaptability.

The ability to build strong internal and external relationships through effective communication and collaboration.

Benefits & Compensation The applicable base salary range for this role is $88,000 to $176,000. In addition to base pay, this position may be eligible for performance‑based incentives. Mercer offers a competitive total rewards package including health and welfare benefits, tuition assistance, 401(k) savings and other retirement programs, and employee assistance programs.

Location & Work Arrangement Location: Any Mercer office location. Hybrid: At least three days a week in the office, with flexibility to work remotely for the remaining days.
