Job Summary Under general supervision, contacts insurance companies under representation of the physicians of the Medical Center. Obtain pre-certification for various testing and or therapy. Obtains necessary personal and medical information from Physician office on the patient for use in authorization. Performs computer data entry and other record keeping tasks related to certification of patients.

Job Essentials

Excellent interpersonal and communications skills

Ability to function independently

Clerical, data entry and some typing skills, including: Filing and record keeping

Ability to work in fast fast-paced environment

Flexible and able to pay close attention to details

Ability to complete needed tasks with speed accuracy

Knowledge of CPT, ICD, HCPCS and/or drug codes

Education Requirements

Completion of high school or equivalent education or minimum 5 years' experience in related field

One or more years of related insurance experience in a healthcare facility or physician's office preferred

Englewood Health provides a minimum rate to comply with New Jersey Law. The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc. The minimum rate does not include bonuses/incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation.
