Job Summary:
The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a federal work study student in the Visual Arts department on the Gainesville campus. The Drawing and Painting Studio Assistant will contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and functioning working space for the Drawing and Painting areas. The individual may also serve, at times, as a monitor for open studio hours. The individual in this position will work approximately 10 hours each week and schedules will be made based around class schedules and availability.
Responsibilities
Help maintain cleanliness and organization in the studio, report items in need of repair, paint/prep surfaces, hang artwork for display, assist with supply management/inventory, and serve as an open studio monitor as needed.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Visual Arts; familiarity with drawing and painting studios, equipment, and supplies. Organization.
Required Qualifications
Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
Preferred Qualifications
The preferred applicant is a student with a background and interest in visual arts.
