Job Description As a Security Officer – Library Patrol in Buffalo, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security‑related incidents and providing a welcoming presence for all students, staff, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible throughout the campus, and deliver exceptional customer service.

What You'll Do
Provide customer service to clients, following security‑related procedures and site‑specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the educational campus and its perimeter, helping to deter unwanted activities.
Monitor access points and observe for any unusual or suspicious activity within the location.
Assist students, staff, and visitors by providing information and addressing their concerns related to the location.
Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal policies.
Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services when necessary, following established protocols.
Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help deter unauthorized activities and promote a secure environment.
Minimum Requirements
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
