Job Title: Marketing Coordinator Location: Florence, KY, 41042 Pay Range: $52,000 - $56,000 Assist in the overall marketing of Turfway Park, including promotions, special events, advertising, digital, and social media efforts that build business and customer loyalty. Responsibilities Coordinate assigned gaming‑related special events, including planning, organizing, and managing events within the facility to provide high‑quality guest service internally and externally. Emcee drawings, giveaways, and special events via microphone system to both small and large live audiences. Assist in executing casino promotions and player development events, ensuring objectives and budgets are met. Direct support staff, contractors, and vendors to successfully accomplish promotions and special events. Coordinate event needs with Food & Beverage, IT, Security, Players Club, and other departments. Generate material requests, check requests, and support materials, ensuring invoices are paid promptly. Communicate all details of special events to the Director of Marketing. Meet with Food & Beverage and Marketing departments regularly to ensure events and promotions are executed properly. Write, edit, and proofread marketing copy for accuracy. Assist with creating property brochures, newsletters, posters, and website content. Schedule and coordinate all marketing signage, including the digital content management system for TVs/audio, exterior building, and main entrance. Provide information and explain Players Club benefits, property amenities, and marketing programs to guests. Assist the Director of Marketing with social media content and develop engaging posts. Monitor social channels for guest feedback, fostering dialogue and building relationships. Manage communications on social media sites, ensuring Turfway Park is portrayed positively. Develop and maintain relationships with guests through exceptional interpersonal skills and guest service. Collaborate with other departments to meet their marketing needs. Perform various administrative responsibilities. Other duties as assigned. Standards of Performance Excellent oral and written communication skills. Represent Newport Racing & Gaming’s image and reputation. Maintain professional working relationships with personnel. Lift up to 25 lbs. Education, Training, and Experience College degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred. Minimum of one year experience in creating and coordinating special events and/or promotions preferred. Minimum of one year gaming experience preferred. Skills with audio/video equipment preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and player tracking systems preferred. Ability to obtain a valid KHRC license. Physical Demands The employee’s physical demands include frequent sitting or standing; walking; using hands to handle objects, tools, and controls; reaching with hands and arms; climbing or balancing; stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; and talking or hearing.
