Description LAC Federal is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Library Technician to provide inventory services for Chinese collections within the Asian Division of a large, national library in Washington, DC. In this role, the Library Technician will play a critical part in maintaining, managing, and organizing Chinese-language materials, ensuring their accessibility and preservation for library patrons. This position requires strong Chinese language skills, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment handling multilingual collection materials. Responsibilities Maintain accurate inventory of library materials Manage the organization and shelving of books and resources according to established library standards Assist with shelf-reading and troubleshooting inventory discrepancies Track and report on inventory status and trends Maintain a clean and organized work environment Requirements Experience working with integrated library systems (ILS) and an understanding of cataloging standards and practices Proficiency using the Voyager ILS system Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate successfully with staff and team members Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality work standards Proficiency in Chinese language (reading proficiency in Chinese is required) #J-18808-Ljbffr
