Youth Services Program Assistant (Part-time), Kinnelon Public Library Job Title: Youth Services Program Assistant- Part Time Location: Kinnelon Public Library, Kinnelon, NJ About Us: The Kinnelon Public Library is a vibrant community hub committed to providing inclusive and enriching experiences for patrons of all ages. Our Youth Services Department is dedicated to fostering literacy, learning, and creativity for children and teens through dynamic programs and resources. Position Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and organized individual to assist in the development and delivery of youth programs. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with children and teens and able to provide excellent customer service in a library environment. Key Responsibilities: Assist with the planning, preparation, and delivery of programs for children and teens (e.g., story times, STEM activities, crafts, summer reading events) Help set up and clean up after programs Interact with children, parents, and caregivers in a welcoming and professional manner Organize and maintain program supplies and materials Assist with displays, bulletin boards, and promotional materials Support staff with general youth services duties as needed Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in education, library science, or child development preferred Experience working with children and/or teens in a professional or volunteer capacity Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Creativity, flexibility, and a positive attitude Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must be able to lift light materials and move furniture for program setup Compensation: $20 per hour How to Apply: Please email a brief cover letter outlining your interest in the position, resume and three references to Kimberly Fraone, Library Director, at kimberly.fraone@kinnelonlibrary.org , by August 15. “Good Faith” Salary, Range, or Rate of Pay #J-18808-Ljbffr
