About the Role
KBR is seeking a creative and detail‑oriented Graphic Designer to bring our brand vision to life. You’ll design visually compelling assets across digital and print platforms, collaborate closely with marketing and product teams, and translate concepts into engaging visuals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic graphic design solutions to support presentations, documents, and collateral.
- Develop images for proposals, oral presentations, brochures, advertisements, corporate identity, packaging, infographics, logos, websites, and more.
- Plan, conceptualize, and design compelling graphics while collaborating with pursuit team members and technical project staff.
- Convey complex ideas with smart graphic designs beyond bullet points.
- Develop and execute creative concepts that align with brand guidelines.
- Extract requirements from government solicitation documents and incorporate compliance requirements.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery.
- Support proposal services with coordination across departments.
- Act as a resource for graphic design methods, tools, and best practices.
- Mentor other team members in design.
- Maintain a well‑organized proposal graphics library.
- Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends and best practices in graphics design.
Work Environment
- Location: Hybrid
- Travel: Minimal 0‑20%
- Hours: Standard
Required Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in graphic design, multimedia design, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- 5 to 7 years of experience as a graphic designer, preferably in proposal or marketing collateral design.
- Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) and Microsoft PowerPoint; proficient with Office 365.
- Expertise in Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Visio.
- Solid understanding of design principles (composition, balance, proportion).
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to receive and provide constructive feedback and work collaboratively.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for high‑quality quick turnaround graphics.
- Exceptional creativity and attention to detail.
- Portfolio showcasing proposal graphics, video presentations, and multimedia content.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proactive mindset and ability to share ideas across teams.
- Problem‑solving skills for moderate to complex visual solutions.
- Experience in government contracting and deadline‑oriented projects.
- Experience creating visually compelling, compliant graphics for federal proposals.
- Experience with After Effects, Premiere Pro, or similar video software.
- Knowledge of proposal development process.
- Ability to identify where graphics best serve the story.
- Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
- Ability to travel occasionally for project work.
- APMP Foundation Level Certification.
