Job Overview

NET Web Developer position based in Madison, WI. Hybrid schedule. W2 contract only.

Responsibilities

• Support and enhance legacy and modern web applications within the Enterprise section.
• Develop front‑end UI components using Kendo UI, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3.
• Create and consume RESTful APIs with .NET Core 6/7/8, including minimal APIs and dependency injection.
• Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, indexing and performance tuning in SQL Server.
• Debug and refactor legacy VB.NET codebase and .NET Framework 4.8 applications.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on requirements analysis and architectural decisions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of C# and ASP.NET development experience.
• 8+ years of .NET Core 6/7/8 development.
• 10+ years of VB.NET and .NET Framework 4.8 debugging.
• 8+ years of KendoUI and front‑end scripting (JavaScript, jQuery).
• 10+ years of SQL Server advanced query and performance tuning.
• 10+ years of experience with Oracle and DB2, data migration, integration.
• 8+ years of designing and managing fine‑grained authorization (RBAC/ABAC).
• 8+ years of unit testing (xUnit, MSTest, etc.) and test‑driven development.
• Proficiency with Git, Jira, and development lifecycle best practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Experience

• Web API (RESTful services) design and implementation with security and versioning.
• Entity Framework, Dapper, ADO.NET data access patterns.
• HTML5/CSS3 responsive design and browser compatibility.
• OKTA or similar authentication/authorization tools.
• Experience with API security compliance and data access standards.
