JOB SUMMARY Works under minimum supervision to provide supervisory and technical skills in operation and maintenance of ACTC Ophthalmology Clinical Diagnostic Photography and Fluorescein Angiography Laboratory. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Required Education High School Diploma Experience 2 years of experience in ophthalmic imaging with proficiency in Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), fundus photography, external and slit lamp photography, and imaging procedures such as IOL Master or Lenstar and corneal topography, digital fluorescein angiography (FA) and ICG angiography within a clinical setting Licenses and Certifications (CRA) CERT RETINAL ANGIOGRAPHER within 1 Year or (OCT) OPTICAL COHERENCE TOMOGRAPHER within 1 Year Preferred Experience College or vocational training in ophthalmic diagnostic photography and angiography 1 year of clinical trials/research experience JOB DUTIES Coordinates patient scheduling for diagnostic photography and angiography of eye. Maintains patient records. Performs ophthalmic imaging and diagnostic studies as designated by the ordering physician, uploading images to the Electronic Medical Record for review. Reviews with ordering physician quality of work performed. Prepares photographic material for weekly Retina Conferences and ophthalmic photographic exhibits at meetings of ophthalmologist and/or ophthalmic photographers. Instructs resident physicians in fundus photography procedures. Maintains and repairs ophthalmic photography equipment at laboratory. Duties performed may include one or more of the following core functions: (a) Directly interacting with or caring for patients; (b) Directly interacting with or caring for human‑subject‑research participants; (c) Regularly maintaining, modifying, releasing or similarly affecting patient records (including patient financial records); or (d) Regularly maintaining, modifying, releasing or similarly affecting human‑subject‑research records. Performs other duties as assigned.
