Music Teacher Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston Saint Columbkille Partnership School - Brighton, Massachusetts Starting Date: Aug 21, 2025 Job Description Saint Columbkille Partnership School, located in the Brighton neighborhood of Boston, educates students aged 2.9 years through Grade 8. Founded in 1901 by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston, the school has educated generations of local families. Re-established in 2006, it enjoys a unique partnership with Boston College as the Laboratory School affiliated with its Lynch School of Education and Human Development, and with the Archdiocese of Boston and Saint Columbkille Parish. We are currently seeking a full-time music teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. Responsibilities Plan and implement engaging and effective lessons for students 2.9 years of age through grade 8. Understand and support the unique strengths and needs of each student. Use the FACTS student information system for attendance, grading and communication. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s progress. Collaborate with homeroom teachers, fellow specialist teachers, student support team, and school leadership. Direct the school’s choir. Lead the school’s annual Nativity and End-of-Year Show performances for all grades. Advance the mission of the school through active participation in a faculty committee. Support the faith formation of students and accompany them in faith formation experiences. Create a safe and joyful learning environment. Contribute to the school’s positive, welcoming culture. Preferred, but not required: direct music performances and manage audio for the school’s annual spring musical; lead after school music clubs; manage audio at school events. Qualifications Commitment to the school’s Catholic mission and identity. Bachelor’s degree. Ability to use instructional technology. Strong collaboration and communication skills. Experience as a teacher of music.
