What this job involves:

As a Life Safety/Security Communications Specialist, you'll be at the heart of our emergency response operations, providing critical support that directly protects lives and assets across JLL's global portfolio. Working in our fast-paced, multi-disciplinary operations center, you'll serve as the vital communication link between facilities, emergency services, and business continuity teams. Your expertise in monitoring advanced security systems, dispatching emergency responses, and maintaining situational awareness will ensure rapid, effective responses to critical incidents. What your day-to-day will look like: • Receive and dispatch emergency and non-emergency calls using Emergency Medical Dispatch guidelines and established protocols • Monitor and respond to access control systems, fire alarms, surveillance cameras, and critical system alarms across multiple sites • Create and track work orders through Corrigo system while coordinating with security, EHS, and facility operations teams • Utilize Critical Event Management platform to disseminate urgent messages and account for personnel during major incidents • Complete incident reports using CAD system and maintain accurate documentation of all emergency responses • Serve as liaison between JLL personnel and external emergency services including EMS, law enforcement, and fire departments • Monitor video surveillance systems and operate multi-site radio communications to maintain comprehensive security oversight Required Qualifications: • High School diploma or equivalent with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications • Public Safety Telecommunicator I certification and Emergency Medical Dispatch certification (or ability to obtain) • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with strong verbal and written communication abilities • Ability to multitask effectively in high-pressure situations while maintaining attention to detail • Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts including days, nights, weekends, and mandatory overtime • Physical ability to sit for extended periods and function as essential personnel during holidays and site closures • Strong analytical and organizational skills with ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management or related field • 2+ years of experience in emergency medical services, fire services, or emergency communications • Technical knowledge of C-Cure 9000 Access Control System and video surveillance systems such as Milestone • Experience with threat assessment, emergency mass notification systems, and CISCO phone systems • Current CPR certification and/or Emergency Medical Technician credentials • Previous experience in corporate security operations or emergency management roles Location:

Onsite Work Shift:

Pittman Schedule, employees work a two-week rotating 2-2-3 schedule.

One week the employees will have two days on followed by 2 days off and then three working days. The second week will be two days off followed by 2 days on and then three days off. Estimated compensation for this position: 52,000.00 - 52,000.00 USD per year This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
