Authorizations Coordinator
to join our team.
The Authorizations Coordinator will be responsible for managing all insurance authorization activities to ensure timely and accurate approval of home care services. This role requires strong attention to detail, consistent communication with internal teams and external payers, and the ability to navigate insurance requirements and documentation standards. You will play a key part in supporting continuity of care, maintaining compliance, and ensuring smooth operational workflow across the organization.

Compensation: $25-$28/hr, based on experience.
Authorization & Insurance Management
Verify insurance eligibility and obtain prior authorizations for home care services.
Communicate with insurance providers to secure, maintain, and troubleshoot authorizations.
Track and manage authorization requests, including re‑submissions, appeals, and delayed or denied cases.
Stay up to date on insurance policies, billing codes, and regulatory changes.
Maintain complete, accurate records of all authorization‑related activities.
Documentation & Compliance
Review patient records and treatment plans to ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and aligned with authorization requirements.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory, payer, and internal standards.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Work closely with clinicians, case managers, and administrative staff to support timely and accurate patient care.
Provide clear, timely updates regarding authorization status and changes.
Reporting & Operations
Run, review, and analyze authorization and service reports to support workflow efficiency and operational decision‑making.
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve internal performance.
Deliver exceptional customer service to internal teams, external partners, and patients.
Qualifications
Experience in healthcare authorizations, insurance verification, or medical billing (home care experience strongly preferred).
Proficiency with HHAeXchange or similar home care management software preferred.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple tasks.
Proficiency with healthcare software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred.
