In this pivotal role, you will craft and manage our communications strategy, guide a dedicated team of 8 staff members, and spearhead initiatives encompassing public relations, internal and external communications, media outreach, event planning, and policy advocacy. We seek a leader who possesses emotional intelligence, collaborative leadership qualities, and exceptional written and verbal communication skills. As Chief of Communications, you will be at the forefront of crisis communications, enhancing brand awareness, and representing our organization to various stakeholders. Ideal candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, with a minimum of 8 years of senior-level experience in communications or public affairs. A Master's degree and experience with state government or nonprofit sectors are preferred. We value candidates with a proven record in leading communications strategies for public or nonprofit organizations, technical expertise in media relations, digital campaigns, and policy advocacy.
