The Position:

We're seeking an experienced and visionary

Senior Project Designer

to lead impactful design initiatives across education, healthcare, and civic projects. Based in our Sacramento studio, this role blends creativity and leadership, guiding teams from concept through construction while maintaining the highest standards of design integrity and innovation. You'll play a key part in shaping environments that inspire learning, healing, and community engagement.

Senior Project Designer - Education, Healthcare & Civic Projects

Sacramento, CA | Full-Time | Hybrid Schedule (In-Studio Tues-Thurs, Remote Mon & Fri)

What You'll Do Lead conceptual and schematic design phases for K-12, higher education, healthcare, and civic projects. Develop and present innovative design solutions that align with client goals and community needs. Guide projects through all phases of design and construction, ensuring design intent and excellence. Oversee and coordinate with consultants, technical teams, and stakeholders. Mentor and inspire emerging designers, fostering collaboration and professional growth. Engage with clients, presenting design concepts and maintaining strong relationships. Contribute to studio-wide design vision and help advance design quality across the firm. Manage DSA coordination and approval processes for education projects. What You Need (Qualifications)

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture. 10+ years of professional architectural design experience. Strong background in

education (K-12, higher ed), healthcare, or civic design . Proven success leading conceptual design and guiding multidisciplinary teams. Experience with DSA process and regulations. Licensed Architect in California preferred. Excellent communication, presentation, and visual storytelling skills. Proficiency in Revit, Rhino, Enscape, and Adobe Creative Suite. Passion for human-centered design, mentorship, and community impact. What's Offered (Competitive Full Package - National)

Salary:
