The CCO will be responsible for creating a centralized communications function that ensures strategic alignment, a consistent brand voice, and audience-centric messaging. This role is integral to the Foundation's mission, serving as the editorial lead for caregiver storytelling and overseeing the development of comprehensive, data-driven communications to increase awareness of the organization's work. The successful candidate will also manage the Foundation's communications ecosystem, including the website, social media, and press outreach, and will be a proactive advisor to the executive team on all matters related to communications, marketing, and brand engagement. Candidates for the CCO position should have at least 15 years' of broad-based communications experience, with a strong background in leading communications, brand, advocacy, and marketing campaigns. A bachelor's degree is required, with an advanced degree preferred. Experience connected to the military, veteran, and/or caregiving community is strongly valued. The ideal candidate will be a confident, persuasive leader, a creative storyteller, and will possess a data-driven mindset with a focus on measurement. They should also demonstrate genuine empathy for the communities served by the Foundation and have a proven track record of executive communications and support. The role demands a strategic thinker with excellent judgment, strong influencing skills, and the ability to anticipate and address emerging issues.
