Job Description We’re looking for an emerging journalist with solid news judgement and a passion for story telling. This person will be part of a team that covers big news stories of the day and breaking news coverage. Get in touch if you love to edit video, have experience in making graphics, and can work under a deadline. This position will work a 8am – 4pm ET shift. Creativity and being a team player also a key part of the job.

Responsibilities
Work closely with Associate Producers and Producers by assisting them in editing video and graphics.
Help research and fact check stories with speed and accuracy.
Pitch smart and engaging stories for daily and future segments that will resonate with our audience.
Keep a constant eye on show rundowns to make sure our video and graphics are in place, accurate and current.
Mine and edit the best video and sound for assigned stories.
Qualifications
Worked in broadcast, digital or cable, including internships, for at least 2+ years.
Know how to edit video on Avid.
Have an interest and passion for journalism and are up on the latest news across multiple subject areas.
Have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
Are willing to work in New York, New York.
Desired Characteristics
Can handle multiple projects with attention to detail under intense deadline.
Proactive and can contribute fresh ideas and perspective to daily assignments.
Live for moments when news is breaking and time to air is short.
Thrive working in a collaborative team environment.
Pay attention to details of everything worked on.
Ready to jump in on projects as they come up.
Additional Requirements
Hybrid: position requires contributing from the office minimum of three days per week; beginning January 5, 2026, four days per week. Company reserves right to change in‑office requirements.
