Overview The Marketing Sourcing Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic sourcing initiatives across all marketing categories. This role partners closely with internal marketing stakeholders and external suppliers to negotiate competitive agreements, optimize spend, improve service levels, and ensure alignment with brand objectives. The ideal candidate has strong procurement expertise within marketing services, including media buying, creative agencies, sponsorships, and professional services.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Sourcing & Category Management

Develop and implement sourcing strategies for all marketing categories, including creative services, media (TV, digital, social, print, out-of-home), production, and sponsorships.

Conduct market analysis, benchmark pricing, and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and brand integrity.

Manage the full procurement lifecycle—from requirements gathering and RFP development to supplier selection and contract execution.

Lead negotiations with marketing agencies, media vendors, sponsorship partners, consultants, and other marketing-related service providers.

Structure contracts to optimize pricing, performance, and service-level agreements.

Build strong relationships with key suppliers and ensure adherence to contractual obligations, KPIs, and compliance requirements.

Media & Sponsorship Procurement

Partner with marketing teams to plan and purchase media across TV, digital, streaming, and traditional channels.

Evaluate and negotiate sponsorship opportunities for sports teams, events, conventions, and partnerships to maximize ROI and brand visibility.

Assess agency capabilities and ensure proper evaluation of media plans, audience targeting, and measurement practices.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Marketing, Finance, Legal, and other internal stakeholders to support campaign planning and budget optimization.

Serve as a procurement advisor to the marketing organization, providing insights on vendor capabilities, market trends, and best procurement practices.

Data, Governance & Process Improvement

Maintain accurate spend analytics, category dashboards, and supplier performance evaluations.

Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and support continuous improvement of sourcing processes.

Identify and implement opportunities to streamline the supplier onboarding, contract review, and purchasing processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Procurement, Supply Chain, or related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or vendor management with a strong focus on marketing categories.

Proven experience negotiating with marketing agencies, media vendors, and professional service providers.

Experience purchasing media (TV, digital, internet) and managing sponsorship agreements (sports, events, conventions, etc.).

Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.

Ability to influence cross-functional teams and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Knowledge of contract law, procurement best practices, and category-specific trends.
