Supervisor, Media Planning
This is a supervisory position on the Media Planning team which is part of a rapidly growing and fast-paced media agency, Rainstorm Direct. Working across agency teams, this Supervisor will develop new business proposals, deliver analysis and optimization for existing clients, and contribute to the growth of the Agency's business. This role provides the opportunity to train, mentor, and collaborate with Media Planners and Coordinators.
While this role is remote, periodic travel and accommodating meetings in different US time zones is expected. Preference will be given to candidates who can consistently work East Coast hours.
What does a Supervisor, Media Planning do at Rainstorm Direct?
Develops detailed direct response linear TV and CTV media plans
Pulls and interprets research / insight reports to formulate media strategies to meet client objectives
Helps with new business pitches from a strategy and planning perspective
Works with Media and Client Services to plan and strategize based on a client's brief
Develops and analyzes media results to optimize campaigns across media channels, placements, products, and creative, ultimately delivering optimal performance
Works with advanced analytics partners to review cross-channel impacts and media contributions by channel, gauging media performance and KPIs to determine the extent to which the original objectives and strategies were met, and to formulate an optimization plan
Partners with Digital, CTV and other offline media teams (audio, print, OOH, etc.) on an as needed basis to develop integrated media plans
Keeps abreast of current media trends and marketplace conditions
Works with Client Services to develop and enhance client relationships
Maintains constant communication with Media, Client Services and Operations to monitor account activity
What do we look for in a Supervisor, Media Planning at our agency?
At least 10+ years' experience in agency media planning and buying for national accounts
Must have experience in national linear and performance / response-driven media
Cross-channel planning experience preferred
Experience with research and insight tools like Nielsen Impact, Commspoint, MRI, YouGov, Kantar, Pathmatics, and Comscore
Strong analytical and advanced Excel skills
Demonstrates strategic, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Excellent presentation, communication, organizational and influencing skills
Proactive, self-directed, and well organized
An entrepreneurial spirit that can provide strategic direction for our teams, helping expand client relationships, and collaborating on budgets for key clients
Ability to tell a story through the use of data
Previous supervisory and mentor experience preferred
Stays on top of current trends and calculated risk-taker
Loves to pitch new ideas and strategies
Values relationships at all levels; treats others with dignity and respect
Enjoys collaborative social culture. Proven ability to work as part of a team, with a focus on achieving goals
Willingness to go above and beyond for your clients' needs including travel when necessary and some extended workdays
