Job Description As a Security Officer - Media Campus Unarmed in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. You will monitor and patrol designated areas within a dynamic tech and media environment, helping to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. As an unarmed patrol professional you will work part‑time, building a schedule that works for you using our Claim a Shift platform.

Friday 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Saturday 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

What You’ll Do
Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and in a problem‑solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the site, including interior and perimeter, to deter unauthorized activity.
Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, or unusual occurrences to appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client contacts.
Assist in controlling access to the premises and verify credentials when required.
Maintain detailed and accurate logs and reports of all activities and incidents during the shift.
Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site staff to support a secure environment at the location.
Minimum Requirements
At least 1 year of security-related experience.
CPR certification is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Minimum age 18 years for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Background investigation required in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in accordance with applicable laws.
Drug screening required to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
