Revit/BIM Content Manager Position Summary We seek a detail-oriented and technically skilled

Revit Content Manager

to oversee the development and maintenance of Autodesk Revit content and Fabrication CADmep databases, ensuring their accurate delivery into projects. Responsibilities include administering .rfa and database content, organizing submittals, and collaborating with internal teams and third-party vendors. The role also involves assisting with training and project setup in Revit for construction projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of coordination and prefabrication workflows, interpret submittal documentation, bridge CAD/BIM data with procurement or operations teams, and assist in project setup from a starter template in Revit.

Key Responsibilities

Administer Fabrication CADmep .ITM content for piping, ductwork, and mechanical systems.

Build and manage Revit family (.RFA) content in line with company standards and workflows.

Develop fabrication service templates, connectors, and routing rules within the database.

Organize and review submittals to ensure equipment data matches Revit content and fabrication parts.

Coordinate with project teams and vendors to acquire, validate, and deliver accurate product data.

Assist in workflow development for QA/QC, procurement, and material tracking.

Collaborate with estimators and project managers to align database content with project needs.

Maintain fabrication reports and bills of materials for projects.

Support Revit project setup and provide training within the BIM group.

Qualifications & Experience

Willingness to learn database administration and development, with support from outside consultants.

Advanced knowledge of .ITM creation and Revit fabrication workflows.

Experience managing Revit families (.RFA) and willingness to learn family creation.

Familiarity with submittal documentation and MEP specifications.

Strong attention to detail and ability to organize large volumes of product data.

Effective communication skills with cross-functional teams and vendors.

Knowledge of piping, plumbing, and HVAC systems and materials.

Experience with Evolve or similar content management platforms is a plus.

Experience in developing documentation or training resources is a plus.

Preferred Skills

Proficiency in Navisworks, Revit, and Fabrication CADmep.

Familiarity with BIM workflows and project coordination.

Knowledge of Product Information Editor and Service Template management.

Experience in mechanical contracting or prefabrication environments.

Proficiency in Revit project setup with starter templates.

Estimated salary: $85,000 to $120,000 plus incentives.
