WHO YOU ARE You are a Multimedia Producer / Editor with experience in planning, capturing, editing, and producing high‑quality video and audio content across broadcast, web, and social platforms. You have advanced motion graphics and animation skills, strong post‑production and sound‑mixing capabilities, and experience with live and remote recording platforms, including StreamYard.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Lead the full production lifecycle of video projects, including concepting, scripting, storyboarding, shooting, editing, motion graphics/animation, delivery, and archiving.

Work closely with the Creative Director to ensure all videos are on‑brand and consistent.

Produce platform‑specific deliverables, including short‑form social videos, vertical formats, and broadcast content.

Create polished motion graphics and animation for intros, lower‑thirds, data visualizations, and promotional pieces.

Manage technical aspects of audio recording, multitrack editing, mixing, and integration of music, voiceovers, and sound effects.

Produce livestreams and remote interview sessions using StreamYard and similar cloud‑based tools, streaming to platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn.

Coach and guide non‑technical interview subjects through remote recording set‑up, including lighting, framing, audio, and software checks.

Maintain and organize NKF’s video asset library, repurpose footage, and ensure proper metadata and formatting.

Collaborate with internal departments to align video content with organizational goals and messaging.

Create proposed storyboards before production begins.

Document and improve workflows over time.

Support national launches of campaigns for various departments, including marketing, donor development, cause marketing, public policy, and scientific activities.

Operate professional cameras (e.g., Sony PMW‑F3 or similar), prosumer camcorders, HD/SD formats, lighting/grip, and studio/field production equipment.

Use audio tools such as small‑format mixers, EQ/compression, effects processors, and field/studio audio techniques.

Maintain and grow NKF’s video asset library, repurposing footage and producing new creative as needed.

Create content that is culturally sensitive and reflective of the diverse communities NKF serves.

Other duties as needed for the efficient running of the department.

WHAT YOU’LL POSSESS

Minimum 7–10 years of experience as a video editor and videographer in a similar role.

Strong proficiency in motion graphics and animation, especially using Adobe After Effects.

Experience with remote recording and livestream platforms, specifically StreamYard.

Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects).

Demonstrated expertise in editing, sound mixing, and integrating music/SFX.

Creative thinker with strong storytelling ability.

Excellent time management; ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.

Ability to understand project goals and translate them into compelling visual content.

Experience creating concept boards, storyboards, and pre‑visualization documents.

Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving ability, and organizational skills.

Excellent interpersonal communication skills; patience and ability to coach non‑technical individuals during remote recordings.

Ability to work independently, take initiative, and remain professional under pressure.

Ability to retain and protect confidential material.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

OUR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Final Cut Pro X experience.

Bilingual (English/Spanish).

WORKING CONDITIONS, EQUIPMENT USED AND SPECIAL INFORMATION Must have unimpeachable integrity and trustworthiness while possessing a high degree of tact, discretion, and professionalism. Maintains effectiveness under pressure. Verbal and written communication skills will be used on a daily basis. Flexible to work evenings/weekends as needed, pending pre‑approval. Travel including overnight travel as needed. Must have valid driver’s license, insurance and reliable transportation.
