About The Role
Virginia Farm Bureau is looking for a talented Video Content Creator and Producer to join our communications team. This role is ideal for a creative storyteller who’s passionate about filmmaking and bringing agriculture stories to life. You’ll produce professional video packages for national television as well as short‑form content for social media platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Research, source, and coordinate subjects and experts for agriculture‑focused video stories.
Plan, shoot, and edit compelling video segments from start to finish, including pre‑production, script writing, filming, and post‑production.
Produce 2–3 high‑quality video segments per month for television broadcast and social media.
Create and adapt content for multiple formats, including social media and digital platforms.
Collaborate closely with our production and communications team to ensure cohesive storytelling and consistent quality.
Travel regularly to field locations and conduct on‑camera interviews that are both professional and personable.
Maintain organized file storage systems and meet all production deadlines.
Uphold AP style standards in writing and scripting.
Qualifications & Skills
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro is required.
Strong understanding of filmmaking from concept through post‑production.
Excellent storytelling, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects at once and adapt to shifting priorities, including occasional weekend work.
Strong sense of initiative and leadership with a positive, team‑oriented attitude.
Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
Highly organized, creative, and detail‑oriented.
Valid driver’s license required.
Drone pilot license is a plus (not required).
Knowledge of agriculture is a plus (not required).
Preferred Experience
Experience producing both television and social media video content.
Familiarity with current trends, tools, and techniques in video production.
Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high production standards.
