As a Product Care
Medium Voltage Key Expert , you will drive product care and product standardization projects within the R&D Product Care Engineering team to deliver quality and productivity improvements across the life cycle of the product, from engineering to shipping. You will work within a team of like‑minded engineering SME’s along with PLM, factory, and development teams to implement strategic projects and initiatives that focus on supporting product care issues, standardizing product designs, set guidelines for engineering deliverables, and part libraries to deliver an industry leading experience for internal and external customers.
Strong product knowledge, technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic agile environment for coordinating across multiple different business applications and thus development teams are essential to succeed in this role. The specific focus for this role will be on all aspects of digitalization project delivery to include idea analysis, feasibility, definition, planning, prioritization, testing, implementation, adoption assurance, and close out of projects.
Responsibilities
Provide expertise on medium voltage engineered products when representing the department in projects and other meetings, aligning with ISO guidelines
Analyze, identify, and define product care and/or standardization projects within various systems and applications
Define and implement EA’s product care and/or product standardization strategy for Medium Voltage Products, coordinating both local and offshore design resources.
Serve as expert in leading large‑scale delivery in a highly agile environment, leading moderate to large complex projects and programs delivering high‑impact transformation by providing strategic direction to projects and influencing stakeholders and management
Ultimately responsible for timely completion of all deliverables, ensuring projects are being documented appropriately to mitigate risk and meet defined objectives
Have excellent communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform and influence outcomes
Performs other duties and participates in special projects assigned
Basic Qualifications
Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Bachelor’s Degree or similar from an accredited university.
8+ years of proven experience working with the design/configuration of electrical power distribution products and systems.
Proficiency in design software (e.g., NX, Teamcenter).
Experience designing power distribution equipment, including switch devices, switchgear, and
Familiarity with ANSI, IEEE, UL and NEMA standards for MV Switchgear.
Experience with mechanical or electrical design for medium voltage switchgears.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Ability to be on-site at Wendell, NC location a minimum of 3 days per week.
Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in testing prototypes for new design and/or features for medium voltage equipment based on IEEE standards.
Exposure to change management and driving projects through organizational changes.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically, innovate, and drive continuous improvement.
Ability to work autonomously without constant supervision.

The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
