About the Team The Design Team develops and launches product, packaging, and retail displays across Retail and DTC channels, driving innovation on a fast‑paced roadmap. The Print Production Team elevates the physical expression of packaging and displays, improving workflows and materials while keeping the customer at the core. Collaboration with Design, Product Development, and Supply Chain creates standout products.

About the Role Production Artists convert design files into print‑ready artwork, honoring designers’ intent while ensuring files meet printing and retail specifications. You’ll coordinate internally, iterate on markup, consult with designers on manufacturing constraints, and oversee projects from concept through mass production, including proofs, color chips, prototypes, and on‑site press approvals.

Responsibilities

Consult with designers throughout the development process, honoring their intent when converting designs into print‑ready artwork files.

Work closely with the Store Design team and Industrial Design team to write and iterate on print specifications for retail displays and packaging.

Ensure that all artwork and copy meet necessary regulatory requirements.

Check all artwork for accuracy of copy, color, and content.

Obtain clarification independently to push projects forward when obstacles arise.

Route all artwork internally and implement markup changes without error.

Understand and select the manufacturing processes best suited to specific designs and objectives.

Evaluate color and finishes in‑house during material sampling and prototype reviews, and on‑site with manufacturing partners.

Deliver detailed feedback to suppliers regarding material impact on color to achieve desired results.

Validate printer‑supplied proofs for final accuracy.

Work independently and efficiently with superb attention to detail under aggressive deadlines.

Recognize process improvements proactively and contribute recommendations during production team meetings.

Assist other production team members when needed.

Qualifications

5+ years as a Production Artist in a product company, studio, agency, print publication, or manufacturing side.

Experience preparing and adapting artwork for retail and POP displays, understanding structure, materials, and production constraints.

Experience conducting on‑site press approvals and building rapport with print sales and press operators.

Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.

Intimate knowledge of typographic and design conventions, supplying artwork in varied file formats.

Expert ability to create and iterate dielines, imposing artwork onto supplier dielines.

Experience writing error‑free print specifications for suppliers.

Professional understanding of litho, flexo, digital printing processes, and plate separation concepts.

Fluency in 4‑color process, Pantone matching, studio color management, color profiles, and proofing.

Strong hands‑on studio skills for prototyping packaging and light installation for retail merchandising.

BFA/BA in Graphic Design or Media preferred; BA required.

Compensation The base salary range for this position is $71,200–$89,000, with the final offer based on location, skill level, and experience.
