Job Overview The ideal candidate is positive, personable, detail‑oriented, able to multi‑task, with strong initiative skills.
Responsibilities
Obtaining insurance benefits, verification of eligibility status and assisting with authorizations over the phone and online with UHC, Evicore, Carelon
Calculating and providing time of service estimates
Assist with researching any denials related to authorization process
Submits appeals as required
Scheduling patient appointments for MRI and CT scans
Review costs with patients as well as accepting and submitting payments effectively
Resolve scheduling conflicts as they occur
Provide patients with preparation for their exams verbally as well as sending emails with their instructions
Assist MRI/CT Tech with patients, reports and CD when needed
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Familiarity with online insurance verification of deductibles and co‑insurance calculations
Dependable and self‑motivated
Works with a variety of payer portals for benefits verification and authorization submissions
Must be able to multi‑task, possess good computer skills, good attitude, personable
Understands importance of documentation and communication within and outside of department for coordination of care
Radiology authorization experience is beneficial
Be able and willing to transition from working on one task to working on another
Position is in person, Monday‑Friday, hours 8:00 am–4:30 pm
