Responsibilities
Attends client planning meetings; evaluates the project scope and reviews the needs of the client's budget, timelines and workload associated with the project.
Conducts in-depth programming; interviews customer/end users, analyzes client's workplace requirements and space/furniture needs.
Reviews site; conducts field measurements with Project Manager and plan‑to‑site adherence checks.
Assists in writing and presentations of design proposals and client RFPs.
Develops and presents a space plan, handles product research and selects furniture options to meet the clients' needs and budget.
Manages all changes and revisions from customer.
Develops product specifications, assists with pricing, discounts and freight/installation quotes; reviews specifications with Sales and Vice President of Operations against plans; prepares specifications and final proposals for order entry.
Reviews all manufacturer acknowledgements with Vice President of Operations to ensure that pricing, finishes, projected ship dates and specifications are correct against order.
Maintains project documentation, including records of all key decisions, phone conversations, notes from project meetings and approvals.
Responsible for creating detailed installation plans.
Provides excellent communication and service to clients and O’Reilly Office team regarding projects.
Responsible for consistently demonstrating the O’Reilly Office Core Values and Mission Statement delivering an exceptional experience with each and every client.
Skills
Working knowledge and strong understanding with industry specific technology. (AutoCAD, CAP, Excel, Visual Impressions and CET)
Strong organizational and administrative skills; good oral and written communication abilities.
Strong knowledge of interior design and current practices.
Working knowledge of dealership’s contract furniture lines, including features/benefits, pricing and specification options.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with a wide range of people within and outside the company/community.
Understanding of industry/environment issues (ergonomics, technology integrations, collaboration and environmental sustainability.)
Experience
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design
Experience: 2+ years practice experience, preferably dealership design experience
