Summary The Multimedia and Design Coordinator supports the Rhode Island Coalition Against Domestic Violence (RICADV) through publication development and production, public awareness campaign coordination, and digital content creation that amplifies survivors’ voices, promotes prevention strategies, and strengthens public awareness of domestic violence. This is a full-time position based out of the RICADV office in Warwick, RI. RICADV has a hybrid work schedule, with employees working both remotely and in the office each week. The position requires some flexibility for occasional evening or weekend events. Local travel is required for attendance at meetings and events. Additionally, all employees contribute to supporting the administrative coordinator by answering calls to the office, which may include calls from victims and survivors of domestic violence. This position reports to the Director of Communications and works in close partnership with RICADV staff, member agencies, the survivor task force SOAR (Sisters Overcoming Abusive Relationships), and other partners to advance the mission of the RICADV. Specific Responsibilities The role focuses on publication design and development coordination, social media management and providing design, branding, and writing support for various projects. The Coordinator oversees archiving and inventory systems for communications materials, coordinates with external vendors, and contributes to the promotion and execution of events. Design & Digital Media Create and update graphics for social media, websites, email newsletters, fact sheets, and event flyers. Support website design and maintenance, including redesigns and content updates. Edit and prepare photography and video content; manage the RICADV YouTube channel. Writing & Publications Write, edit, and publish content for online communications, including websites, social media platforms, and email newsletters. Copy-edit and design publications, brochures, public education materials, reports, and campaign collateral. Assist in developing the RICADV’s annual report and other program reports and special publications. Campaigns & Events Coordinate the launch of statewide public awareness campaigns in key months throughout the year (October, February, April, June). Provide communications support for internal and external events, including logistics, tabling, photography, and promotion. Assist with donor appeal letters and other fundraising communications. Systems & Data Management Maintain and update contact lists using Salesforce or other CRM tools. Track and analyze communications data, including Google Analytics, social media insights, and evaluation surveys. Develop and maintain systems to inventory and archive communications materials and resources. Manage digital filing system for communications projects.”. Collaboration & Support Work collaboratively with RICADV staff, SOAR members, and member agencies to enhance and align communications efforts. Support short-term communications projects and respond to emerging needs and requests. Coordinate with external vendors (designers, printers, translators, photographers, etc.) to ensure quality, timely, and cost-effective communications products. Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, design, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar). Experience in photo editing, video editing, and digital media production. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Apps, and social media platforms. Coordinate with communications interns and volunteers as needed. Strong skills in event coordination, project management, and vendor communications. Work experience in communications preferably in a nonprofit or social justice setting. Demonstrated success in generating awareness through social media for advocacy. Exceptional writing and editing skills across multiple mediums. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities; detail-oriented, efficient, and self-motivated. Skills in data and information management, organization, and archiving systems. Demonstrated commitment to nonprofit work, social justice, and equity. Familiarity with website content management systems (WordPress or similar) preferred; website design and maintenance skills a plus. Knowledge of HTML preferred. Experience with email marketing and CRM tools preferred.
