About the Position
The Strategic Communications Administrator II is responsible for independently managing defined areas of Geneva's strategic communications portfolio, including digital media, website management, stakeholder communications, and organizational visibility initiatives. This role supports Geneva's mission and business development priorities by ensuring consistent, high-quality communication across audiences including principal investigators (PIs), academic and industry partners, and research teams.
The Administrator II plays a critical role in advancing Geneva's reputation and influence through thoughtful storytelling, data-informed narratives, and coordinated communication strategies. Working in close collaboration with the Strategic Communications Manager, Business Development, and the Office of Strategy & Impact, this position helps translate research outcomes, organizational achievements, and impact data into compelling content that reinforces Geneva's value proposition to the broader defense health ecosystem.
This is a remote Corporate position.
Compensation: $62,000 - $88,000
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, or related field (or equivalent work experience). 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in communications, marketing, or related roles, preferably with exposure to business development or stakeholder-facing initiatives. Demonstrated experience independently managing digital communications platforms, organizational websites, and audience engagement strategies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical or complex information into clear, compelling content. Experience supporting executive and board-level communications or advocacy efforts preferred. Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in digital platforms including LinkedIn, X/Twitter, and content management systems; experience in leveraging analytics to drive meaning outputs. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams while exercising sound judgment and initiative in independent work. RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Communications and Stakeholder Engagement
Develop and manage content that drives business development outcomes targeting key customer. Draft and edit written materials including capability sheets, white papers, presentations, newsletters, and reports that communicate Geneva's work, achievements, and partnerships. Support the development of messaging frameworks, presentations, and briefing materials for executive and board communications. Coordinate cross-organizational efforts to surface and communicate impact stories, program outcomes, and performance metrics that demonstrate Geneva's research and translational value. Partner with the Office of Strategy & Impact and Business Development teams to ensure execution of strategic communications with organizational goals and sponsor priorities. Design and execute targeted marketing campaigns aligned with curated opportunity sets, ensuring outreach efforts connect the right customers with the right research domains. Digital Media Management
Strategic communications and Oversee Geneva's website and digital presence ensuring timely updates, high-quality content, accessibility, and consistent messaging. Manage Geneva's social media platforms (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Facebook, etc.), including content calendar, campaign creation, scheduling, and engagement tracking. Monitor analytics across platforms and generate monthly performance reports with actionable insights and recommendations. Ensure all digital content aligns with Geneva's brand standards, tone, and strategic priorities. Manage Geneva's website and associate assets ensuring relevance, accuracy, and impact related to mission, business development needs, and key stakeholder groups. Events, Advocacy, and Board Support
Support planning and execution of Geneva's participation in conferences, symposia, and stakeholder events, ensuring professional representation and brand consistency. Contribute to advocacy and policy engagement activities by drafting background materials, talking points, and summaries that convey Geneva's thought leadership. Support Board of Directors and Advisory Committee communications, including meeting materials, impact highlights, and updates. Cross-Organizational Collaboration
Collaborate across departments to ensure data accuracy, message consistency, and integration of impact and outcomes data into communications materials. Serve as the primary point of contact for identifying and translating program outcomes, analytics, and success stories into narratives that reinforce Geneva's mission and measurable impact. Partner with Information Governance Systems, Business Development, and program teams to surface data-driven insights and ensure messaging coherence across channels. Contribute to continuous improvement of Geneva's communications processes, tools, and content management systems. Conduct market and audience research to shape content strategies that expand Geneva's reach and influence. Ensure internal and external content consistently reflects Geneva's brand voice, value proposition, and visual identity. Maintain a thorough understanding of Geneva's programs, capabilities, and partnerships to inform storytelling and outreach efforts. Partner with Business Development and Department of Programs to support structured data entry for focus areas, keywords, and capability tags that enhance targeted marketing and improve opportunity-to-customer alignment.
