Distribution Designer

Title: Distribution Designer Location: PA Pay Range: $30 - $45/hour DOE, all hours worked Target Start Date/Availability: ASAP interview and start January Overview: Drafting traffic management plans and drawing permit documentation Compiling bills of materials and generating detailed cost projections Engaging in discussions with clients during the design and delivery phases Coordinating infrastructure sharing with external entities Assisting with the early definition and scope development of upcoming projects Developing installation plans, including cable pulling calculations and logistics Minimum Requirements: Solid communication skills, both written and verbal Associate’s degree in design technology or related discipline, or a non-engineering bachelor’s degree Proven experience (6+ years) in utility distribution or closely related electrical design work Capable of leading engineering/design teams and mentoring junior staff Strong working knowledge of design platforms and utility engineering tools like ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and PoleForeman Experience with detailed physical design practices and associated processes Familiar with distribution planning codes and practices such as NESC, NEC, ANSI, IEEE, GIS/GWD Exposure to medium-voltage electrical systems and projects (120/208V to 38 kV) Ability to independently evaluate and review the technical work of others Note: This opportunity is not eligible for work sponsorship within the United States.
