Overview:

Impact is looking for an experienced editor for our Post-Production team in our Corporate Marketing department. This person must possess both technical and creative skills to be able to effectively bring videos to life in post-production. This role will be responsible for working closely with the media team on video projects for Impact’s brand(s) as well as for our clients. As a member of our growing media production team , the editor will play a critical role in the team’s success by delivering high-quality video content.   Impact Studios Reel

Responsibilities: 

  • Video Production & Editing
    • Edit a range of content, from social to branded to corporate
    • See edits through from rough cut to delivery
    • Ensure proper color grading, audio mixing, and overall quality control
  • Content Creation for Marketing Campaigns
    • Create videos for social media, email campaigns, website, and paid ads
    • Create promotional videos, service/product videos, event recaps, and customer testimonials
    • Adapt content for different platforms
  • Brand Consistency
    • Maintain visual and tonal consistency across all video assets
    • Follow corporate branding standards and marketing messaging
  • Collaboration
    • Work closely with marketing leadership, media team, designers, copywriters, etc.
    • Coordinate with producer(s) and stakeholders (internal and external) for approvals
    • Assist with video production team on set when needed
  • Color Correction & Grading
    • Adjust color balance, exposure, and tone to achieve the desired visual style.
  • Project Management
    • Manage timelines and deliverables for multiple projects simultaneously
    • Organize and archive video assets for easy retrieval
  • Technical Expertise
    • Proficiency in tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.
    • Knowledge of video compression, formats, and publishing standards
    • Stay up-to-date on post-production industry standards as well as emerging technologies to maintain (and improve) best practices

Things We Are Looking For:

The ideal candidate should have a strong creative and technical acumen, as well as familiarity with a variety of NLE software. They should also have experience cutting both social and corporate content. A desire to grow existing skillsets, as well as an interest in developing new ones, is also important. They should thrive in a setting where teamwork is paramount.

  • Familiarity with Adobe’s Creative Cloud suite (particularly Premiere Pro and After Effects)
  • 2+ years editorial experience
  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Video Production, Multimedia, Marketing, or related field. Or relevant experience. 
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines on various projects simultaneously
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with other creative professionals
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic who can both take direction and work independently
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of motion graphics is a plus

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Impact, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
