VISUAL DESIGN AND OUTREACH MANAGER
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Communications, the Visual Design and Outreach Manager is responsible for creating and enhancing the aesthetic and usability of a printed or digital product whether it is creating brochures, flyers, videos, social media reels, graphics, commercials or the like. Supervises the Community Outreach & Engagement Coordinator.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support Director of Communications
- Design and layout of the DWIHN Annual Report
- Approve all DWIHN designs, flyers, brochures and materials
- Approve network Provider materials
- Creates and disseminates all information regarding the programs and services of DWIHN to promote a better understanding of mental illness, substance use disorder, serious emotional disturbance, suicide prevention and developmental disabilities throughout the community.
- Creates informational documents, brochures, educational messaging, flyers, newsletters and videos to be distributed throughout the DWIHN Provider Network and the community.
- Creates invitations for internal and external events
- Canva training for the organization
- Creates website graphics and manages monthly updates to the intranet or website
- Maintains a media repository which includes graphics, photos, and other media materials.
- Circulates information to the public regarding community awareness campaigns, health fairs, town halls, events, trainings, and conferences.
- Provides supervision of outreach staff and volunteers.
- Creates videos for social media, commercials and PSA's
- Creates video presentation for the yearly meeting using photos and videos
- Creates Power Point slides for DWIHN's All-Staff monthly meetings
- Assists in creating Board presentations.
- Conducts Communications orientation training when needed
- Performs related duties as assigned.

- Five (5) years of full-time paid professional experience working in Marketing, Media Relations, Communications, Digital Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Advertising, or a closely related field.
- One (1) year of full-time paid professional experience as a manager or supervisor in Marketing, Media Relations, Communications, Digital Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Advertising, or a closely related field.
REQUIRED LICENSE(S).
A valid State of Michigan Driver's License with a safe and acceptable driving record.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed in a hybrid setting. Travel will be necessary to attend meetings, health fairs, community outreach events, press conferences and other events outside of the office. This position requires occasional evening and weekend work.
