The Promo Designer/Art Director will work on creating and translating global brand assets across all promotional displays and packaging in US retailer stores.

The Promo Designer/Art Director will partner closely with cross functional teams to understand display strategies, target audiences, and communication objectives all in-store visual communications, including graphics and structures.

Key Job Accountabilities:

• Translate the brand image into promotional displays and packaging. (80% displays & 20% promo packaging)
• Must be able to design within cost guidelines and retailer style guides.
• Requires project management skills and decision making on daily bases - able to handle timelines, communicate urgencies and execute accordingly. Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail are essential.
• Cross functional interaction.
• Work with external suppliers: retoucher, production house and comp house...etc.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

• Translating Global vision and advertisement into US mass market promotional displays and packaging for various retail stores
• Designing a look and feel for seasonal/themed promotional vision displays and packaging, utilizing available assets.
• Managing promotional displays from start to finish on multiple programs, working and coordinating with multiple teams. Structures include: Counter Units, Floor stands, Endcap Towers, Hotspots etc.
• Working with packaging team to ensure Global packaging concept is translated into US packaging correctly. Responsibilities includes proofing, color work, and press OK.

Skills Required:

• Proven experience in creating comprehensive brand expression (5+ years).
• Must be able to do quality hands-on work and be flexible with frequent changes in direction.
• Ability to multi-task, make quick decisions, problem solve. Pay close attention to detail.
• Must be able to assess priorities, organizing workloads.
• Great typography skills and knowledge of print process.
• Must be a team player but needs to be able to work independently where necessary.
• Basic trimming, cutting and comping skill.
• Expert knowledge in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
• Proficiency of all relevant computer programs (Mac).
• Beauty Experience
