Southwest Michigan
is seeking an experienced
Grant Writer
to join their team! This individual will play a key role in securing funding by identifying, developing, and managing grant opportunities that align with the organization's strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Research and identify potential grant opportunities from government, foundation, and corporate sources.
Write, edit, and submit approximately
30 grant proposals per year , ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with funding priorities.
Develop compelling narratives and supporting materials for grant applications.
Collaborate with internal departments to gather data, budgets, and project details for proposals.
Present and report on grant opportunities and outcomes to leadership for review and approval.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree
in Communications, English, Nonprofit Management, Business, or related field.
Minimum of
3 years of professional grant writing experience , preferably within a nonprofit or educational organization.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with grant management software is a plus.
