San Diego Automotive Museum Librarian Job at The San Diego Automotive Museum in

The San Diego Automotive Museum is home to an extensive research library, comprised of an outstanding collection of books, repair manuals, and other publications. The library is entirely run by volunteers. The San Diego Automotive Museum's library is currently under renovations and should re-open this fall.

Volunteer librarians are responsible for greeting guests, assisting with finding research material and, eventually, assisting with scanning all media to a digital format.

Opportunity Requirements & Important Notes

Time Commitment: Librarians work each day the museum is open; you can commit to a daily, weekly, or monthly schedule. Serving one shift per week is required.

Onboarding Process: Fill out the San Diego Automotive Museum's volunteer application. Attend the training to become a librarian volunteer.

Required Skills/Experience: Basic computer skills and people skills.

Desired Skills/Experience: A background in library science would be a plus.
